Welcome to The Play Academy Child Care

Our purpose built Nest unit was opened in September 2022. It is meticulously designed to cater to the needs of children aged 3months to 2 years. It consists of a separate sleep room, messy room and roof top garden. We prioritise providing a warm and nurturing environment where high quality adult interactions build trust and confidence in each child. Our focus is on cultivating positive relationships, enhancing physical skills, curiosity and promoting effective communication.

Our Explorers room is a bright and spacious room catering to the needs of children aged 2 years to 2 years 6 months. Our team of dedicated Practitioners create a nurturing atmosphere where children feel safe, loved and motivated to explore. We believe that every child is a natural born explorer, and our goal is to channel their curiosity and energy into meaningful learning experiences.  Children learn best through play and our curriculum is designed to foster their creativity, problem solving skills, and social development.

Our Investigators room is a large purpose built free flow room with an incorporated garden space. Our curriculum for our preschool children aims to develop motivated, engaged and resilient thinkers. We promote independence, curiosity and a love of learning by providing opportunities for children to make choices, pursue their interests and embrace challenges through play. We also emphasise respect for oneself, others and the environment. We focus on developing school readiness through early literacy and numeracy skills, cognitive development and problem solving abilities.
